Each ‘Taste of France’ mixed wine case includes one of each of the following bottles:
Villa Blanche Malbec 75cl – Deep purple in the glass with aromas of jammy red fruit, cedar and spice notes. On the palate the wine is smooth and juicy with dark berry fruits and vanilla spice. A great alternative to the now popular Argentinian malbec. 14% ABV
Villa Blanche Chardonnay 75cl – This full bodied but elegant Chardonnay is a good alternative to some richer wines from Burgundy. Ripe fruity flavours of apple, peach and mango mingle with creamy vanilla, hazelnut and subtle sweet spice. 13.5% ABV
Villa Blanche Piquepoul Noir 75cl – Mid bodied, ripe and juicy, this rarely seen red wine is fabulous lightly chilled. With flavours of red cherry, redcurrant and a hint of herbal spice, this is a great alternative to a more traditional Beaujolais. 12.5% ABV
Villa Blanche Grenache Blanc 75cl – Frequently seen in white blends from the Rhone valley, Grenache Blanc is a versatile and food friendly grape variety. Delicate floral notes on the nose and a rounded, full bodied palate with flavours of peach and mango. 13.5% ABV
Villa Blanche Picpoul de Pinet 75cl – Gleaming bright, with a subtle nose with perhaps more minerality than in 2019. Aromas of white flowers, elderberry and aniseed are underscored by salinity. 13% ABV
Villa Blanche Syrah 75cl - This modern example of syrah is fantastically well balanced with notes of blackberry, plum and black cherry. Full bodied and well rounded with supple tannin and a long finish. 14% ABV
