Named Rina Russa after the iron rich red soils of the region which impart a fresh vibrancy to this indigenous Sicilian red wine. Frappato is a delicate and elegant grape that produces a wine reminiscent of Pinot Noir, with wild red fruit and bramble aromas and flavours and a stunning fresh character.

The makers story

Santa Tresa was established in 1697 and is located on a plain, with the Dirillo river to the north, Iblei mountains to the east and open sea to the south and west. Wine has shaped the lives of the people of Vittoria, who have lived and breathed the culture for over 3,000 years. The symbol is an important part of the brand represents 'Sun and Gold' and dates back to medieval times.
