It was the American scientist Thomas Adams, towards the end of the 19th century, who invented the "Tutti-Frutti" flavour. A few years later, the American company Fleer Corporation instead proposed "Dubble Bubble", a chewing gum with a more elastic consistency particularly loved by children, who have been having fun making the famous "bubbles" ever since.
