The makers story
Monteci is the antique nickname, going back more than a century ago, which was given back then to the Righetti family in the Valpolicella region and which is highly used today to represent the profound bond with its roots. We are talking about five generations of high quality wine production integrating traditional methods of drying grapes with the latest wine-making techniques and instruments.

Was introduced to this Montecci wine whilst dining out pre-show in London. I'm familiar with the 'ripasso' technique and the added depth it gives to an already good wine. It stands out for value and is refined and delicious - if you haven't discovered 'ripasso' style wines, do try them !
