Deep bright colour with purple highlights, exudes delicios candied fruit on the nose, both spicy and fruity with notes of black cherries and morello cherrie. On the palate, raw cocoa with a meaty, balanced structure and nice ripe tannins. The finish prolongs the red fruit and spicy aromas. This wine will be at its best after 4-5 years of ageing. 40% of the wine is aged in French Oak, remainder in stainless steel.

The makers story

Domaine Mucyn comprises 14 hectares of parcels in the Crozes-Hermitage, Saint-Joseph and Cornas AOC. The vineyards resemble an archipelago of little islands scattered over 25km netwem Ozon and Pont de l'Isere. This dispersion has the advantage of creating a diversity of micro-terroirs. The art of wine blending consists of playing with the nuances offered by this mosaic of origins, resulting from the soils, exposures and gradients of the plots.
